ABOUT US
The Emerson Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides Emergency Medical Services to the Borough of Emerson and neighboring towns. We have been helping the Pascack Valley area since 1956. Every year, EVAC touches the lives of hundreds of patients and their families.
We're looking for new volunteers all the time, and understand that people join for many reasons. Some say that it's because they want to get involved and give back to the community. Others want to join EVAC to learn new skills, and as a member you have access to countless on-line courses and hands-on classes (all free!).
Although becoming a member is a big commitment, the rewards are well worth the effort. When you join EVAC, you join a social circle that extends well beyond the borders of our small town. You will make friendships and build relationships that last a lifetime. But perhaps the greatest benefit of becoming a volunteer is helping people in their greatest time of need.
In addition to working full-time jobs, going to school, and taking care of their families, EVAC members make the time to make a difference in our community. We understand that everyone is busy, and any time you are able to volunteer is appreciated.
In addition to volunteer time, donations from the community are critical to the Ambulance Corps' existence and greatly appreciated.
Anyone interested in volunteering can leave a message at the EVAC building 201-261-0441, or email EmersonVAC@yahoo.com. EVAC applications can also be picked up at the Police Department at any time.
